PRECISION ROAST / COFFEE ROASTERS / BATCH CAPACITY CLASS
COFFEE ROASTERS10 KG

A 10 kg roaster makes sense when 5 kg would mean excessively long shifts but 15 kg would regularly be underloaded. Check the choice against average order size, product range, and production schedule.
8 cycles × 8.5 kg = 68 kg
Planned production day
If current production is at least half the planned volume
Where this option is useful
- a roastery with steady B2B orders
- several production days a week
- moving from a manual workflow to standardized procedures
What to check before ordering
- greater exhaust and cooling requirements
- a roast-profile error costs more with a full batch
- disciplined storage and labeling are essential
From calculations to technical requirements
Volume check
Collect at least several months of data: kilograms sold by channel, seasonality, SKU count, and typical order size. Do not automatically use the highest-volume month as your baseline.
- median and peak volume
- wholesale share
- production frequency
- acceptable roasted coffee inventory
Engineering infrastructure
Before comparing quotes, establish the available electrical power and gas supply, duct routing, makeup air, and space for safe servicing.
- exhaust-system design
- heat load on the premises
- utility connections and controls
- fire safety and local requirements
Workflow after roasting
Larger batches must move through cooling, resting, filling, and packaging without delays. If the next stage is slower, the roaster will not deliver the expected output.
- cooling speed
- containers for degassing
- filling throughput
- batch traceability

How much roasted coffee can I produce per shift?
First calculate green coffee input from the actual batch load and cycle count, then apply your own measured weight loss. There is no single yield that applies to every roast profile.
Can I roast small batches?
Only within the range confirmed by the manufacturer. Regular, severe underloading makes the process harder to control and calls the economics of that roaster size into question.
Do you need automation?
Automation helps with repeatability and recordkeeping, but does not replace correctly designed airflow, cooling, or operator training.
Ready to check the entire configuration?
Calculate the required output, then plan the roaster together with the premises, cooling, and packaging.
